More trees.

This one is not so much bigger than A4, but it took as long as a large one!

Time to introduce myself

Well, I have been posting pictures of my paintings to blogs without knowing really why, other than to get my stuff on the internet. But perhaps you might like to know a bit about the person producing the pictures....

Well, I am a Dorset artist, working in Oxfordshire and painting wherever I find myself. I have sold lots of paintings of boats but am now tending to paint trees.  (This could be because my boat was smashed up by vandals and I have beautiful trees all around.)

I never really know how a painting will turn out; I just feel someting about the shapes and colours I want to put on the canvas in response to the images I see.

Today I managed to upload a few more photos of previous paintings:

This is approx 57x42cm and on a board I textured with paper and glue before starting.

This is approx 70x50cm on a flat canvas.  It was inspired by Dorset hills

This is approx 78x60cm on a textured canvas and was insprired by tangeld trees on the cliff top at Highcliffe.
